We Could Not Be Happier

My wife and I recently (September/October 2013) used Fahy Construction to renovate the kitchen in our home. We could not be happier.

The construction cost was reasonable, and included all necessary subcontractor work and supplies. Moreover, we had no cost surprises and even some last minute changes were accommodated without any additional cost. The owner, Fiacra Fahy, was very accessible, did great work, and worked very hard with product vendors (such as the cabinet and countertop company) to keep the project on schedule. In addition, we had minimal disruption to the rest of our use of our home, as his workers put up dust shields around the kitchen and carefully cleaned up after every work day.

A really nice aspect of Fahy Construction, is that Fiacra works with you at every step, suggesting possible improvements to your plan (we took his advice on multiple matters and he was right every time), and working hard to give you a perfect product in the end.

If you have a home renovation project in the Boston area, this is a wonderful contractor. I recommend Fahy Construction without any reservations, and have recommended them to my friends for their construction work.

I have worked with Fahy Construction on few projects. Fiacra Fahy is to that day one of the best contractors I had the pleasure to work with as an interior designer. He is reliable, professional, patient, has outstanding work ethics, a solid set of sub-contractors, a great eye for design. He is one of the first contractors I contact when I have a project that needs attention to details and solid project management. Fiacra Fahy was the contractor we selected for our home renovation in 2008. We are very happy with the work he and his crew did for us over the 6-month period they worked with us. He was always straightforward and honest with us, and we loved working with him. The renovation involved stripping the house to the studs and then in fact replacing the studs to change the interior layout. A massive brick chimney was removed, all the electrical in the house was replaced, a new roof was installed, and the roof line was changed. A master suite was created out of two rooms, and a half-bath expanded into a full bath.

Fiacra has been our primary contractor/remodeler for over a decade as we updated our 1915 Victorian in the Melville Park section of Dorchester. We started working with him via our architect at the time of the major remodel and then have done multiple projects with him since. About a decade ago we did a gut renovation kitchen and bath and created a second bath in an attic. These were 2 projects 1 year apart each, 12-13 weeks

Love, love, love our new space!

Fiacra Fahy of Fahy Construction is now the only contractor we will ever hire! Fiacra remodeled our kitchen, added a great room, extended a bedroom and added a new deck. We could not be more thrilled with the result. Everything came out beautifully! Fiacra and his team started at the beginning of Sept 2018 and were on site, on time, every day ensuring that our project was finished on schedule (3.5 months) and on budget. Fiacra was always in contact with us to let us know what was next to be accomplished and what decisions we needed to make to keep the project moving. Fiacra is very honest and has a great attention to detail. It is very apparent that he takes a lot of pride in his work. Fiacra offered several valuable suggestions to our project that further enhanced the beauty of the final product. I absolutely love, love, love our new space! Both the aesthetics and his quality of work were top notch. I would recommend Fiacra to anyone for any project, as he is that good and an extremely nice person.

Fahy construction was absolutely the best contracting experience we have had. From pre-planning to finish, Fiacra Fahy(owner) was completely professional, efficient and attentive. His crew was amazing as well, completely respectful of our home and us. From day one, demo, he was timely and completely thorough. He informed us of every step along the way and was exactly on time and budget, not to mention clean and organized. Down-to-the-Studs Renovation of Entire 1925 House

We used Fahy Construction for a major bathroom remodel in 2015. We liked Fiacra Fahy so much, we hired him again 4 years later when we moved to a larger house. He recently completed a down-to-the-studs renovation of the entire 1925 house and it came out fantastic. He finished on time and well-below the estimate of big firms that were recommended by our architect. We are so grateful we hired someone we knew and trusted.

You will not find a contractor with more integrity and honesty. Fiacra will point out where you can save money and where you should invest more. He is obsessive about keeping the job moving. He is a perfectionist, and he works with a small group of subcontractors that he holds to a high standard. You should hire him.
